“We had a great trip with this 4WD and rooftop tent. The vehicle was comfortable, well equipped, and everything we needed for our adventure was included. Communication with Johan was excellenthe always responded quickly to questions and was easy to reach. Please note that youre not supposed to take this vehicle onto unpaved roads, as stated in the rental agreement, and Johan is very strict about this. He also reminded us that the vehicle was fitted with GPS trackers, which made the trip feel a little less relaxed. If you plan to visit cattle stations or other remote destinations that require driving on dirt or gravel roads, you may be better off choosing another provider. Other than that, the vehicle was excellent: well equipped with a perfect setup for camping, both on and off the grid.”

“Overall, we felt very disappointed with our experience. We rented this van for 7days, travelling from Exmouth to Perth and clocked in ~2350km altogether. The owner was aware our trip was 7 days but insisted that as per his business model, we could go a max of 1400km before having to pay for excess kms - therefore we paid almost $500 dollars extra for a journey that Johan knew was impossible to complete within the allotted kilometres. On top of this, the van burns through fuel extremely fast, costing us nearly $600. Not only this but Johan charges $60 extra for a duvet & pillows - standard items you would expect to be included in a one way trip. We had a lengthy discussion with Johan regarding these hidden costs and expressed how disappointing this was. He admitted that every customer he has pays for the extra kms yet has not remodelled his business structure to accommodate for the fact that it is impossible to complete the journey from Exmouth to Perth within the allotted kilometres unless you rent the van for a minimum of 10days. We are passionate about supporting small businesses however experiences like this where the owner is clearly taking advantage of his customers is very off putting.”

“We absolutely loved this vehicle! We spent 12 days camping from Perth to Esperance and couldnt have asked for a better setup. The dual rooftop tents are spacious and super easy to set up and pack down. Johan has thought of everything - we especially loved the induction cooker and easy access to charging ports. Communication was clear throughout and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We had the best time exploring the southwest and would definitely rent from Johan again.”

There was plenty of room for all of us while driving, everything is super easy to set up and take down and the vehicle also has everything you need for comfortably camping off grid. “This van is absolutely incredible!!!! It was everything we could have wanted and more. The perfect setup. If I ever have my own van, I want it exactly like this one. The fact that the battery can run without being plugged in from solar power and from driving the van, so the refrigerator can run at all times and you can cook, microwave, charge phones, etc. We also loved that you don't have to resetup the bed each night, but you have all the storage and space you need still. Johan is also a delight and reliable. He's very knowledgeable about vans and batteries. I've already recommended this to friends planning roadtrips!”
