Bakkie was great, had everything we needed and Johan was excellent with his communication.

Our 4-week road trip through Western Australia with the SsangYong Musso and two rooftop tents was an amazing 5-star experience! Traveling as a family with two kids (0 and 6), we felt comfortable and well-equipped the whole time. The vehicle was reliable, spacious, and easy to drive, even on longer distances. The rooftop tents were a real highlightquick to set up, cozy, and a fun adventure for the kids. Waking up in nature every day and having the freedom to explore at our own pace made this trip unforgettable. Highly recommended for families looking for a mix of comfort and adventure!

I had my family over visiting from the uk and four of us went for a southwest roadtrip in Bakkie. It was honestly perfect and so handy having two rooftop tents. There was plenty of room for all of us while driving, everything is super easy to set up and take down and the vehicle also has everything you need for comfortably camping off grid. Johan is a great host with good comms and was available at any time to help with any questions we had. 10/10 would recommend

We had a wonderful 10-day trip with Bekkie! Traveling in this car felt like staying in a 5-star hotel. It was tidy, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed for the road. Johan was fantastiche took the time to explain every detail about the car. Highly recommended! We would book Bekkie again ang again:)

Highly recommend 'Bakkie' for groups of 2 or 4 to explore Western Australia. We travelled with 4 adults and were delighted with 'Bakkie'. Johan gave a good introduction and shared some travel tips. (Thanks for the Shelley beach campground tip!!) It is a nice truck to drive and the solar panels, large battery and water tank makes that you do not need powered sites. You have the freedom to camp wherever. The sleeping cabins are spacious for tall people and easy to setup. Even with 2 'left hands' it can be done in 2-3 minutes. Great truck to explore the west coast of Australia!

We rented out this ute to go to margaret river and elephant rocks with my family. Absolutely everything was more than great ! Johan is a friendly and nice person who has answers to all of your questions. The ute if one of the best to be driving long hours, better than a Hilux ! I would highly recommend Johan and will go through him for a next vacation if it comes ! Thank you Johan !

We had a wonderful experience with renting - Johan and his family were very helpful in explaining how the vehicle worked, answering questions along the way (very responsive to texts), and even providing travel suggestions that were super helpful. The vehicle was very comfortable for our four-person family and the big awning was a huge plus in the hot north. The solar panel was unfortunately stolen, and Johan was wonderful and understanding in helping us navigate the stress and troubleshoot so we could maintain power and stick to our itinerary thanks to the impressive battery system. All in all, a great trip and we'd absolutely rent from Johan again!

Great setup. Has everything you need to camp anywhere. We had 2 adults 2 children under 7yrs and the roof top tents were comfortable and easy to set up/pull down. This still allowed us to pack up quickly and tour around and return to camp to setup with minimal hassle. Highly recommend if you are a family looking to tour around WA.

We had such a great camp out in Bakkie. Johan has thought of everything and we cant recommend it enough! Lots of other campers were very impressed with the set up. Johans communication was excellent and he gave us a very thorough walk through before driving away, so we felt very comfortable knowing everything about the vehicle before using. We will definitely consider using his van next time, as the set up looks unreal! Thanks heaps Johan

This is the best vehicle for trip. Owner provided everything what we need. Very clean and comfortable vehicle and well designed for the trip for four people. Highly recommended and on my next trip i will hire again the same one.

Renting this vehicle was a dream!! We had the best trip down south and it was all thanks to this amazing van. It is brand new, everything was immaculate and in perfect condition. It was extremely well supplied with cooking utensils and equipment, we couldnt fault it. The van was great to drive and the double roof tent was brilliant, we were stopped many times in campsites on our trip by people complementing its brilliant set up. The owner Johan was extremely helpful, he went above and beyond and replied to all messages and calls if we had a question immediately- excellent communication from start to finish. Cannot recommend enough.

We were a group of two Irish couples travelling around the south of WA. We could not have asked for a better vehicle to rent for our trip! It was comfortable for long journeys, super smooth to drive & easy to set up/take down the roof tents. Johan was very responsive during our trip for any queries we had. He was also flexible with pick up & drop off time which was very helpful.

Just wrapped up an great 12-day adventure from Perth down to Esperance and Albany in Johan's Bakkie, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Traveling with my 70+ parents, I was initially a bit nervous about the roof tent setup, but those concerns vanished on the first night. The tents are incredibly quick to set up and surprisingly comfortable. The vehicle itself is as new, so a pleasure to drive - smooth on the highways and stable on gravel roads (staying within the allowed limits, of course). We were really impressed by how fuel-efficient it was for such a capable vehicle. The 270-degree awning is amazing - no fiddling with poles, and it provided perfect shelter for our beach lunches and camp setups. The electrical setup is seriously impressive. We ran the fridge continuously, charged devices, and never had to worry about power thanks to the massive battery system and solar panel. The fridge size was perfect for our group of four, and the drawer system in the back made organizing our gear a breeze. Johan's handover was thorough but not overwhelming - he clearly knows his vehicle inside and out and explained everything we needed to know without overcomplicating things. The whole experience from pickup to dropoff was seamless. Vehicle was clean as new. This setup hits the sweet spot between comfort and capability - you get the benefits of a 4WD without sacrificing the comforts that make a long road trip enjoyable. Already planning our next trip!

Our recent trip touring the South West with this 4x4 Ute was nothing short of amazing. There were three of us, and the setup made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The electrical appliances were a standout for us. The stand-up fridge was incredibly handy and spacious, and we opted for the induction cooktop, which made cooking so easy. The roof top tent was also amazing! It took less than a minute to set up, and after a couple of tries, we got the hang of packing it down quickly too. Driving the Ute itself was a pleasure. The cruise control and modern safety features made long drives effortless. It handled beautifully, which just made the ride just so much more enjoyable! Communication with the owner was great, and Johan was super helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. He also gave us some great recommendations for places to stop along the way. If you're looking for something fun, easy, and super convenient for your next adventure, I'd 100% recommend this setup. It really made our trip special!!

My husband and I took the Bakkie south to Augusta and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Johan was thorough in his handover and easy to arrange the pickup and drop off with. Features we loved: - Despite its size this vehicle was easy to drive with modern features like a rearview camera, sensors, lane assist, and a touchscreen GPS. - The rooftop tent was easy/quick to set up with thoughtful access from three sides of the canopy. The small ladder was convenient for opening and closing the tents - handy since Im shorter. - SPACE. We had everything we could want and still had so much space left. The fridge was large for a camp fridge with a small freezer section. We were able to comfortably straighten out in the rooftop tent (my husband is 183cm). We could easily envision having two more adults with us and having all our luggage fit in the canopy. - The electrical system was user friendly and allowed for easy cooking despite windy conditions. Loved not needing to struggle with gas appliances. Thanks Johan
